About Bolaffi

Bolaffi Ambassador Auction House has been organising major stamp, coin and period poster auctions since 1990.

Held once every six months at Sala Bolaffi in Turin, Italy, these sales have recorded significant results. The Bolaffi Ambassador Auction held in Turin, via Cavour 17, is the appointment that Italian and international collectors cannot miss.

Bolaffi Ambassador Stamp Auctions The auctioning sector started with stamps: more than twenty increasingly successful years which confirmed Bolaffi Ambassador Auctions as a sector leader in Italy and abroad: outstanding rarities as such as very famous "Faruk envelope" stamped with an extremely rare Tuscan "tre lire". The most important facts are the very high percentage of sold lots - nearly 95% all the items on sale - and the high selling price increases. Bolaffi Ambassador Coin Auctions Bolaffi Ambassador Auctions also mean coins since 2002.

The Auction House confirmed its position as undisputed reference point also in this area of collecting after only three sales. The proof is in the results: a total turnover of more than 20 million euros with over 15.000 sold items. Bolaffi Ambassador Poster Auctions The Bolaffi collectable poster auctions started in 1996: during this first event a playbill of "Cabiria", one of the first historical epic movies, sold for just short of 20 million lire. In 1999, the top price for an Italian poster was 250 million lire for "Fiat in pista" by Codognato. The gallery of images that marked the evolution of the sixteen Bolaffi Poster Auctions feature the greatest Hollywood stars, from Charlie Chaplin to Humphrey Bogart and Rita Hayworth, and the protagonists of twentieth century costume, from champagne to fashion, from winter sports to automobiles.
