FARMER’S MARKET Every Tuesday and Friday 8.00am - 2.00 Fur and Feather The Fur & Feather Auctions at Melton Mowbray Market have a national reputation for the range and excellence of the livestock available but also include Plants, Produce, Timber and sundry goods and chattels. Auctions are held weekly on Tuesdays Prior to bidding you must be registered at the Fur and Feather auctioneers office. Buyers must have ID showing name and full address, in order to obtain a bidding number. No bidding number means you are unable to purchase. Bidding numbers are available per calendar year, and cost £2. Vendors will be charged 15% commission, plus an entry fee of 20p per lot. Buyers must pay in cash upon completion of the lot, plus 10% buyers premium. Selling a full range of birds, from an Amazon Parrot to a Zebra Finch. All birds must be presented for sale in suitable boxes, allowing enough space for the bird to turn around. Also sell related sundries items, for example; cages, feeders, boxes etc. Ferrets, Hamsters, Chinchillas, Gerbils, Rats and Mice. Ferrets must be presented in boxes of no smaller than 30cm2 per ferret, and have access to water at all times. Plastic or wooden boxes only please, no cardboard. They do not sell cats or dogs.
