About Okehampton Auctions

Okehampton Auctions has a long history and association with the town. Traditionally held in the Market Hall in the centre of town, the Auction moved to its permanent site at Fatherford in June 2007, due to the redevelopment of the Market Hall into a cinema. With traffic and parking in the town centre having become an increasing problem over recent years the ample parking and easy access to the edge of town auction room has been a real bonus to customers. Auctions are held every 4 weeks on a Wednesday, with goods in all categories being taken in throughout the month by appointment. Each auction has between 800 - 1000 lots. Small items including china, glass, collectables, silver, jewellery and pictures are sold first, followed by furniture, furnishings, household goods, tools and miscellanea. The viewing takes place from 2p.m. - 7p.m. on the Tuesday and from 8.30a.m. on the day of the sale. Goods can be paid for and collected during the sale and until 6p.m. on saleday and between 11a.m. - 2p.m. on the Thursday. Beatie's Bistro Okehampton Auctions has its own cafe on site in the sale room, providing hot and cold food and drinks on both the viewing and sale days. Transport facilities are available to both vendors and purchasers at a reasonable individually priced rate. Okeham Auctions includes Wreford's Removals
