Occasional auctions at local venue Parade Antiques and Collectables was founded in 1997, and has been trading on the Barbican, Plymouthís historical harbour and tourist center ever since. The vast range of stock includes artwork, china, glass and ceramics, antique furniture, silver and jewellery, coins and medals, toys, advertising, railway and motoring, maritime, ethnic items, entertainment memorabilia, science fiction and much more. Given the historical importance of a lot of items, the Market also doubles up as a 'Curios Museum'. Based in an old early 18th century warehouse, near the waterís edge, 260 square metres in area, and houses in excess of 60 cabinets and stalls, divided between some 40 dealers.The market is all on the ground floor with great wheelchair access, and allow well behaved dogs. There is a drive in area for quick loading and unloading, but there is also an ample supply of parking on the street and several longer stay car parks within a 250 meter radius next to Plymouth Hoe.
