Items for the Deadstock, Timber, Electrical and Bike sales are accepted on a Friday between 8 am and 4pm on a Friday and between 7am and 9am on Saturday morning. All 240v and 110v electrical items are subject to an electrical safety test (£3.50 per item) and must be on site before 2pm Friday for testing. Small Mammals and Birds are accepted on Saturday Mornings only between 7am and 9.15am. Viewing is from 2.00 - 6.00 pm on Fridays and 8.30 - 10.00 am on Saturdays ALL SALES COMMENCE AT 10.00 AM ON SATURDAYS Livestock Colchester Livestock Market has been at its current site running weekly primestock sales since 1975. Cattle and Sheep sales are held every Tuesday with occasional store sales being held in the Spring and Autumn. We have a loyal contingent of buyers ranging from the local butcher to wholesaler with good stock coming from farmers in Essex, Suffolk, Norfolk, Hertfordshire and Cambridgeshire. The sale of sheep begins at 11.00 with the cattle following on starting no earlier than 12.00. All stock is required to be on the market site no later than 10.45 to allow for a prompt start to the sale.
