Auction Day (Every THURSDAY) 09:30 Garden & DIY The auctions now have a vast selection for bidders to choose from. Commencing at 09.30 with garden and DIY articles from mowers to new and used garden tools, timber, doors and windows even a throw back to the 30's with fence panels, planters and bird tables! 10:30 Contemporary Furniture 10:30 sees the start of the contemporary furniture sale where some 150 lots of modern household furniture are up for auction. This always includes leather and other lounge suites and separates, dining sets, bedroom suites and fitments in all manner of styles and occasional tables and decorative items. Most weeks new divan beds can be bought at a fraction of the RRP. 12:00 Electrical Domestic appliances are always popular with bidders and are a major part of our Electricals Sale area which begins at 12 noon and consists of about 200 lots including stereo systems, DVD players, computers, widescreen and other TV's and subject to availability new flat screen TV's and DVD recorders. DIY equipment is also a big draw to this area where all manner of power tools and accessories are on show. ALL ELECTICAL ITEMS ARE TESTED FOR SAFETY BY OUR OWN TRAINED STAFF BUT ARE SOLD AS SEEN. 14:00 Antiques & Collectables Antiques and Collectables go under the hammer from 2.00 pm. Furnishings, decorative items, metal wares and ceramics are amongst the selection of about 200 lots in this part of Auction Day. Also have a regular fine arts and antiques sale on the last Thursday of each month. Buying at Wilfords couldn't be simpler. 1. View the items before the auction anytime from Wednesday morning onwards, making a note of the item number of items you are interested in. The friendly staff are always on hand to give advice on the items such as expected sale price, as well as the approximate time the item should come up on auction day. If you are unable to attend the auction itself, you can leave a bid for an item with a member of staff. 2. Attend the auction and register as a buyer by leaving a £20 refundable deposit. You will then be issued with a numbered bidding card. Your deposit will be refunded in full provided that you have returned your numbered card & settled your bill by 5pm Friday. 3. Once registered, you can bid on an item by attracting the auctioneer's attention. Don't worry about scratching your nose or sneezing, the auctioneer always waits for your confirmation once you've got his attention. 4. Once you've finished bidding, you can pay for your items by cash or debit card at the office. 5. Once the goods have been paid for you will receive a receipt and can leave with your purchases. Wilfords staff are always available to give you a hand loading bulky items into your vehicle. Should you require delivery of your larger items, we have a preferred courier whose number is available at the office. Above all you will have a fun day at Wilfords, and should pick up a bargain to boot!
