WineBid was founded in March 1996 to make it possible for wine enthusiasts and collectors to acquire fine and rare wines on the Internet. We wanted to offer the advantages of buying wine in auction format, including the ability to acquire rare and collectible wines unavailable at even the best wine shops. At WineBid.com our goal was to create an efficient, user-friendly Internet auction that offered the same fine and rare wines available at traditional wine auction houses. In September 1996, we held our first Internet wine auction. We now run weekly auctions 24 hours a day, 52 weeks a year. WineBid is based in Napa, California, where we maintain a temperature controlled warehouse and a staff of experienced wine professionals. We inspect every bottle of wine we auction to insure our customers receive a quality product. WineBid is the largest Internet wine auction with more than 30,000 registered users world wide
