Registering You can browse the auctions at any time without registering, but to bid or post an auction, you must first register. In order to register on Bumblebee Auctions you must first set up a Nochex, e-money account. Nochex is currently the only form of payment that Bumblebee Auctions accepts.
Registration is required to facilitate bidding and payment on the site. Once you have a Nochex account registered, simply click on the Register link. Choose a user name which you can easily remember, and fill in the other required fields. Your password will automatically be generated and emailed to you. You can change your password at any time by choosing the Membership option and then clicking the Change Password link. Once your Nochex account has been set up and you have registered on the site you will be able to bid on items. Y
ou only need to register once, as you can change your user information at any time by choosing Membership, and then clicking the Edit Registration link. Notes: There may only be one account per email address. The system will not let you create more than one account with the same email address. Bidding Simply navigate to the auction you want to bid on via the category listings or using the search features, and then place your bid. This can be done on the auction page by entering the amount you wish to bid in the box marked Your Maximum Bid. You can then preview your bid and change if necessary; the bid can then be confirmed by clicking on the Place Bid button. If you are then outbid either by reviewing the auction.
You can re-bid on the item and so on. Bumblebeeauctions has been specifically designed and configured to give a bidder a fair chance of winning an item in which he or she is interested. In order to ensure this, the system must give a user a reasonable chance to respond to a rival bid. The practice of placing a bid just as an auction is about to close is called sniping. This can be frustrating for buyers who lose the item right at the last minute with little or no time to respond and place another bid. Bumblebeeauctions has addressed this problem by introducing automatic auction extensions. i.e. If a user places a bid in the last 10 minutes of an auction, the auction will be extended in 10-minute increments.
This is considered a reasonable time for the user to receive an email telling them that they have been outbid, they can then if they want, log on to the system and place another bid. You can also place a proxy bid. This allows you to place a bid on an auction item up to your limit. The system will then bid for you up to your limit. The winning bid may be less than the amount of your proxy bid. Any requests to preview items, or for any further information on them, will be denied because complying with them would give an unfair advantage over other bidders. You must read the Terms and Conditions and any other sales conditions relating to the item before you place your bid. Please note that by bidding, you will enter into a legally binding contract to purchase with the seller if you are the winning bidder. Generally items will not be returnable.
You may print a copy of the Terms and Conditions on the website or download a for you to retain Completing the Transaction Once an auction closes an e-mail will be sent to the winning bidder confirming the details of the successful bid. This email will contain a Nochex payment link in order that payment can be made online. If you are the winning bidder you should immediately arrange to pay the seller using this link, once payment has been confirmed you will receive another email which will contain collection details and a unique code for that auction item. This unique code is required to have the item released by the Police Force. You will in addition need some form of identification that confirms your address for e.g. Driving License or utility bill. The seller may also contact you via the contact information you provided upon registration about arranging collection.
