R. G. Jones is the Estate Agency and professional services division of Farmers Marts (R. G. Jones) Ltd. The company was established in 1953 and operates over the whole Meirionnydd area. Head office is located in Dolgellau and we are also based at Bala and Corwen. We have qualified staff dealing with the valuations and sales of residential, agricultural and commercial properties. Farmers Marts (R G Jones) Ltd – Farmers Marts operates from three livestock auctions sites at Bala, Dolgellau and Machynlleth. Primestock – Prime Lambs are sold through our three market sites on a weekly basis in Season. Our auctioneers and clerks are at hand to advise on the best possible sale strategy. Breeding & Store Sales Renowned sales of quality store cattle from surrounding upland farms take place on a regular basis attracting numerous established buyers which are a testament to the quality of the cattle available. Official auctioneers for the Welsh Black Cattle Society and Welsh Mountain Sheep Hill Flock Book Societies. Store sales of sheep are held every Friday at Dolgellau Market with Special Breeding Sales of Ewes and Rams held in the Autumn Store Lambs and Grazing Ewes are sold all year from Dolgellau. Antiques, Furniture and Chattel Sales We conduct a monthly sale at Dolgellau selling approximately 1000 lots of antiques, household furniture and effects. We are also able to provide a full House Clearance and Storage service prior to sale. Implements & Machinery The Implement and Machinery sales are held 4 times a year with circa 1000 lots per sale of farming and building miscellanea and vehicles. We also offer a complete service for Farm Dispersal Sales.
