Times have moved on from the auctions in Kendal's market hall all those years ago and with almost 200 years experience under our belt, you can be assured that you (and your goods) are safe in our hands

Our purpose built saleroom at the Junction 36 Auction Centre, easy to find just off the M6 motorway. The auction centre is home to North West Auctions and Cafe Ambio too with its very own cafe and conference facilities on site. Sales are currently held every Monday, see our Auctions page for further information on what may be included. We are open for viewing of the auctions on Friday afternoons and Saturday mornings, however we do of course welcome visitors at any time. The history of 1818 Auctioneers stretches back nearly 200 years to the auction of chattels in Kendal’s market hall. We now work from our purpose-built offices and saleroom just off the M6 at the J36 Rural Auction Centre but our approach is still as friendly and professional as ever. We have a team of experts who thrive on the excitement of a live auction and work hard to make the buying and selling experience accessible and fun.
