Historical & Collectable is the only auctioneer in the world to hold regular sales devoted to Commemoratives and Staffordshire Pot Lids and Prattware.

In addition Baxter Prints and Fairings are occasionally offered. Given a good supply of material to sell, four auctions will be held each year usually at the beginning of March, June, September and December with dates being confirmed well in advance. Auction Duration Lots will be sold in numerical order (unless otherwise stated) at a likely rate of 120 and 200 lots per hour. Refreshments and Accommodation Established in 1991 as Special Auction Services a variety of auctions catering for collectors evolved. Initially auctions were held at the Padworth Court Hotel prior to moving to purpose-built rooms at Kennetholme, Midgham in 2003. By 2010 the auctions of toys and jewellery had outgrown the available space with the result that these sales moved to larger premises at nearby Greenham Common. The auctions of Commemoratives, Staffordshire Pot Lids and Prattware however continue to be held at by Andrew Hilton at Kennetholme and now, for the sake of clarity, under the banner of ‘Historical & Collectable’. Nothing else has changed. The catalogues are still bound in yellow card, the sales are still held at weekends and the staff remains the same.
