About Paddington Ticket Auctions

Owned and managed by Chris Dickerson and Brian Moakes, themselves keen railway enthusiasts and collectors of tickets and railwayana for many years, the auctions started in 1991. This developed into the leading auction house for the sale of railway, bus and tram tickets also railway luggage labels and stamps. The name Paddington Ticket Auctions was chosen because the auctions originally took place in the Great Western Royal Hotel at Paddington. Refurbishment of the hotel in the mid-1990s caused a move to Holborn and later to the present location. We completed our 50th auction in January 2009 and we are now looking forward to the next 50 (and more)! Auctions commence at 11:00 with viewing from 08:30. A superb venue and convenient location in the heart of London. Our auctions take place four times a year. PLEASE NOTE: Although we operate a "live" auction we welcome postal bidders and accept pre-arranged telephone bids on the day from those unable to attend.
